Terms of Design


I am so grateful for the many business propositions that I receive, but simply cannot take on every project that is presented to me. I choose projects that are well-suited to my skills and availability only. Please note that I reserve the right to terminate any project that ceases to be enjoyable and/or profitable.



Being a freelance graphic designer, my hours vary.  My office days are typically Monday through Friday; no holidays or weekends.



All communication is done via email so I have a record of your design preferences.  



Payments are accepted through Paypal only.  Custom design orders require a $125 blog design deposit to be placed in queue. Once I am ready to begin work on your design, you will be sent a remaining balance invoice, which must be paid in full before the design process can begin.  "Style Your Blog" and rush orders require the full payment upfront due to the shorter process and turnaround time.



Any projected dates quoted during the design process are simply estimates. Projects can take anywhere between a couple weeks and a few months. I work as quickly as possible to complete all designs but the design process is fluid and delays may happen. Estimates of timing are based on when work on your design will begin, not when the design is complete/installed. Revisions slow the design process, which can often shift completion target dates.



Custom designs are created based your design preferences (colors, patterns, fonts, shapes.) After you receive the initial design proof, I will provide up to three reasonable revisions during the design process. After three rounds of revisions, additional fees may occur for more.



Once your design is installed, any revisions you request that are not a result of an error on my part are subject to a $45 fee.



A Fabulous K logo will be placed at the bottom of the page to credit me as the designer of your template. This logo must remain on your blog as long as you have any Fabulous K designed elements applied.



Once your design is installed, I delete your files. For $15, I can store your files so they are available should you want to update your design in the future. Update fees begin at $25, depending on their complexity. I reserve the right to decline working on additional updates to your blog at any time, which will result in a refund of the $15 fee via Paypal.



Any design elements created for your blog may not be used in any other format, including Facebook and Twitter.  You may purchase flattened files of your blog header for $25 (to be received in PDF, JPEG, PNG and GIF formats.)  If you would like an avatar for your Facebook and Twitter pages, please consider purchasing a coordinating button specifically designed for those platforms.



Due to the nature of design work, refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. Should you choose to terminate a project for any reason, you will have a design credit in the amount of any invoices you paid for one calendar year.



Fabulous K is not liable for any photos or design elements provided by clients. Please be sure to have permission before submitting any elements or photography to Fabulous K to use in your design.



All correspondence between you and Fabulous K is confidential and may not be shared or forwarded to others without my expressed written consent.



All designs are protected under copyright and are property of Fabulous K. Please note, this includes site coding.



Fabulous K occasionally uses elements from istockphoto.com. If you would like to incorporate a specific image from iStock, you will be responsible for purchasing that image. 



In order to install your blogger template, I will need your blogger login info. This information is kept completely confidential and is deleted as soon as your install is complete.
